Copper-catalyzed three- five- or seven-component coupling reactions: the selective synthesis of cyanomethylamines, N,N-bis(cyanomethyl)amines and N,N'-bis(cyanomethyl)methylenediamines based on a Strecker-type synthesis.

چکیده

We have demonstrated that a cooperative catalytic system comprised of CuCl and Cu(OTf)(2) could be used to effectively catalyse the three-, five- and seven-component coupling reactions of aliphatic or aromatic amines, formaldehyde, and trimethylsilyl cyanide (TMSCN), and selectively produce in good yields the corresponding cyanomethylamines, N,N-bis(cyanomethyl)amines and N,N'-bis(cyanomethyl)methylenediamines.

The one-pot, multi-component synthesis of 4,4′-(arylmethylene)bis(1H-pyrazol-5-ols) by tandem Knoevenagel-Michael reaction of phenylhydrazine, ethyl acetoacetate and aldehydes in the presence of silica-bonded N-propylpiperazine sulfamic acid (SBPPSA) as a recyclable solid acid catalyst was reported. SBPPSA showed much the same efficiency when used in consecutive reaction runs.

CuBr-catalyzed selective oxidation of N-azomethine: highly efficient synthesis of methine-bridged bis-indole compounds.

An efficient CuBr catalyzed cleavage of C-N bonds in the oxidative cross-dehydrogenative-coupling (CDC) of N-benzyl amines with indoles mediated by tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) was reported. A series of methine-bridged bis-indole derivatives were successfully synthesized under the optimized reaction conditions.
